Iceland at the 1996 Summer Olympics

Iceland took at the 1996 Summer Olympics in Atlanta for the 16th time in the Olympic Summer Games in part. The team consisted of nine participants, five of which were men and four were women. They started in 15 competitions in five sports. The youngest participant was a swimmer Eydis Konráðsdóttir at 18 years and 158 days, the oldest was the Athlete Vésteinn Hafsteinsson with 35 years and 230 days. During the opening ceremony on 19 July 1996, the Jón Arnar Magnússon athlete wearing the flag of Iceland in the Olympic Stadium.
