Iceland at the 2012 Summer Paralympics
Iceland despatched to the Paralympic Summer Games in 2012 in London, consisting of 4 athletes team - two women and two men. The only medal winner was the swimmer Jon Margeir Sverrisson, who set a time of 1:59.62 over 200 meters freestyle a new world record in its class ( S14), and so won the day.
Flag bearer at the opening ceremony was the athlete Helgi Svensson.
