Ichirgu-boil

Itschirgu -Boil ( Bulgarian Ичиргу боил, ancient Greek τοω ητξιργου βοιλαν ) or Tschargobil ( Bulg чрьгобыля ) was a medieval high Bulgarian title. As Itschirgu -Boil was the third one in the Bulgarian State under the Khan (later Knjaz and Tsar ) and referred to the Kawkhan.

The Itschirgu -Boil was the administrator of the capital and commander of the capital's garrison in warlike times. However, in times of peace, he also took diplomatic missions.

Origin

According to Professor Veselin Beschewliew itschirgu comes from the altturkischen and means inner, or internal. For others, give the Caucasian word itschirho (Russian ичирхо ) which in turn means archer.

In the first Bulgarian Empire, the members of the highest social class to Christianity in the 9th century Boil were then called and during the Second Bulgarian Empire Boljar or Boljarin. Boljar as well Boil were hereditary title (see Boljaren ).

The title refers to a reform of the United Bulgarian Empire, which was completed by Khan Kubrat in the 6th century.
