Ichtegem is a Belgian municipality located in the Flemish region with 13,898 inhabitants (as of January 1, 2012). It consists of the three districts Ichtegem ( with 5,763 inhabitants ( e ) ), Eernegem ( with 6,587 E) and Bekegem ( with 1,073 E).

Location

Torhout is located 7 kilometers south-east, the east end on the English Channel Ferry 16 km northwest, 18 km north-east of Bruges, Ghent and Brussels 50 km east about 98 km south-east (all figures in a straight line from the district Ichtegem to the respective city centers).

Traffic

The next highway exits are located at Gistel off the A18 / E 40 in the West, Jabbeke and Bruges on the A10 to the north and Ruddervoorde and lights Velde on the A17 to the east. In Zedelgem, Torhout Korte and Mark are the next regional stations and in Oostende and Bruges keep on regional express trains.
