ICTP Ramanujan Prize

The ICTP Ramanujan Prize ( official name: Ramanujan Prize for Young Mathematicians from Developing Countries ) is a mathematics prize, which is awarded by the International Centre for Theoretical Physics ( ICTP ) in Trieste, Italy, in memory of the Indian self-taught since 2005 and S. Ramanujan is worth 15,000 U.S. dollars. Is supported each retroactive to the previous year award by the Norwegian Academy of Science and the funds of the Abel Prize.

The award honors researchers under 45 years of developing countries that used on the field of science especially for their country or have rendered outstanding services to this. The winner - which is expected a lecture as part of the ceremony - is determined by a five-member committee scientists whose nomination earlier in cooperation with the International Mathematical Union.
