Ida Alstad

Ida Alstad ( born June 13, 1985 in Trondheim ) is a Norwegian handball player.

Alstad played from childhood to the Norwegian club Byåsen IL, with the women's team, she played later in the highest Norwegian league. With Byåsen the backcourt player stood in the season 2006/ 07 in the final of the European Cup Winners' Cup. Since the summer of 2013 she plays for the Danish first division team Tvis Holstebro.

Alstad has been used in 107 parts of the Norwegian national handball team in which they scored 276 goals. Together with the Norwegian team's right-handed won 3rd place at the 2009 World Championships in China. At the European Championships in 2010 Alstad won the European title. At the 2011 World Championships, she won the world title. In summer 2012, Alstad took part in the Olympic Games in London, where she won the gold medal. The Norwegian continued to participate in the World Cup 2013.
