Ida Anak Agung Gde Agung

Anak Agung Gde Agung Ida ( born July 21, 1921 in Gianyar, Bali, † 22 April 1999) was an Indonesian politician and diplomat.

Biography

Originally from a noble family of Ida was from 1943 to 1945 for the first time ruler (Raja ) of its home region Gianyar.

From December 15 1947 to 27 December 1949, he was Prime Minister of the State of East Indonesia ( Negara Indonesia Timur ), a sub- state of the United States of Indonesia, which in 1950 was part of Indonesia on August 17.

After the recognition of Indonesian sovereignty on 27 December 1949 he was Minister of the Interior in the government of President Sukarno and held this office until 6 September 1950. Subsequently he entered the diplomatic service and was initially 1951-1953 Ambassador to Belgium and 1953-1955 in France.

Between August 1955 and March 1956, he then worked as foreign minister in the cabinet of Sukarno.

Anak Agung Gde 1960 Ida Agung again Raja of Gianyar and held this office until his death. In the meantime, he was, however, during the reign of Sukarno from 1962 to 1966 in prison.

Following the resignation of Sukarno on 22 February 1967, he was appointed by his successor as president, General Suharto in 1969 as ambassador to Austria and held this post until 1974.
