Ida Gotkovsky

Ida Rose Esther Gotkovsky ( born August 26, 1933 Calais, France ) is a French composer and pianist.

Life

Ida Gotkowsky is the daughter of the violinist Jacques Gotkovsky and grew up in a musical environment. She studied at the Conservatoire National Supérieur de Musique de Paris with Nadia Boulanger and Tony Aubin. She taught in Texas, United States of America, composition. Their reputation quickly went beyond the borders of France.

Her compositions are used worldwide, particularly pointed out in the United States of America, Japan, Korea, Australia and Russia. You will receive invitations for workshops and to the presidency in Jury's for competitions. As their musical credo is to create a work of art that is universal and in a contemporary strict language contributes to the unity of musical expression in all times.

Very many awards and prestigious awards they got for their compositions: Lili Boulanger price, Blumenthal prize, first prize in the Pasdeloup referendum, International price of Divonne les Bains, Medal de la Ville de Paris, Grand Prix musical de la Ville de Paris, Golden Rose (USA).
