Ida Maria
Ida Maria ( born July 13, 1984 in Nesna, full name Ida Maria Sivertsen Børli ) is a Norwegian rock singer.
From her parents, a teacher couple, Ida Maria has noticed the music: her father is ska and jazz musician, her mother sings at festive occasions. She played a few times with the guitar in the band and performed with 14 at the local pub. At 16, she went to Bergen and later to the Swedish Uppsala, where she played in a four -piece band.
2006 Ida Maria performed at the talent contest to zoom Urørt the Norwegian broadcaster NRK and won. This success helped her to gain great popularity and their debut album, Fortress Round My Heart debuted at # 5 on the Norwegian charts in May 2008. At the same time she prepared her career in England, playing the festival tour, where she performed, among others, also in Glastonbury. Then she made in summer entry into the UK charts with their single I Like You So Much Better When You're Naked.
