Idaho Falls Idaho Temple

The Idaho Falls Idaho Temple is the eighth temple of The Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-day Saints ( Mormons). He is in Idaho Falls and was the first temple of the Mormons in the U.S. state of Idaho and the first with only one tower. This is 44 meters high and contains, as in most temples of this denomination, an angel Moroni. The temple has 8564 square meters of floor space, four Endowment and nine sealing rooms.

According to the announcement on 3 March 1937, the first sod on 19 December 1939, the building itself was completed in September 1941. The interior, however, slowed down by the general shortage of funds during the Second World War. On September 23, 1945, the temple was consecrated by George Albert Smith.

It was originally called the temple of the Idaho Falls temple, but after 2000 the church led uniform rules for naming one, which is why he is now called the Idaho Falls Idaho Temple.
