IDBUS

IDBUS is a subsidiary of the French railway company SNCF, which operates a remote bus network in Europe. It took 23 July 2012 on the traffic. Additional connections are offered by and by. Currently, Aix -en- Provence, Amsterdam, Barcelona, ​​Brussels, Lille, Genoa, London, Lyon, Milan, Marseille, Nice, Paris, the Paris-Charles -de- Gaulle and Turin are served.

History

First became public in November 2011 under the internal project name " Speed", iDBUS took 23 July 2012 on the operation. From its first hub at Paris -Bercy station connections to Amsterdam, Brussels, Lille and London were offered. National service between Paris and Lille is permitted as of August 29, 2012.

With the launch of connections to Milan and Turin, a second hub at Lyon -Perrache station was created on 17 December, 2012. Since 24 January 2013, the national traffic is also permitted between Lyon and Paris -Bercy and Paris-Charles de Gaulle. Since May 27, 2013 iDBUS also offers a connection between Marseille / Aix -en- Provence and Nice, Genoa and Milan.

Since October 14, 2013 a night service between Lyon -Perrache and Barcelona is part of the route network.

Rolling stock

The SNCF has bought 46 long distance buses, the manufacturer Setra and Irisbus for iDBUS. The fleet consists of 26 Setra Comfort Class 400 and 20 Irisbus Magelys Pro. All vehicles meet the Euro 5 emissions standard, offer wireless Internet access, sockets and accessible seating.
