Idlib Governorate

Idlib (Arabic محافظة إدلب, DMG Muhafazat Idlib ) is one of 14 Syrian governorates and is located in the northwest of the country on the border with Turkey. Covering an area of ​​6097 km ² 1,852,062 inhabitants according to a calculation for 2012. The population density is therefore 303.8 inhabitants / km ². Capital of the governorate is Idlib.
