Idrissa Seck

Idrissa Seck ( born August 9, 1959 in Thies ) was from 2002 to 2004 Prime Minister of Senegal.

Until his appointment as Prime Minister Seck mayor of Thies had been, a town 70 km east of Dakar. He was since November 4, 2002 Prime Minister of Senegal until he was dismissed on 21 April 2004 by President Abdoulaye Wade. As the successor appointed Wade the previous Interior Minister Macky Sall.

In the presidential elections in 2007, Seck was mainly supported by the younger voters.
