The Iecava [ iɛʦava ] ( dt: Eckau; Иецава Russian ) is a river in Latvia.

The Iecava springs multiple sources south of Aizkraukle and flows through wooded valleys to the west. In Skaistkalne the distance between Iecava and Memele is only two kilometers. The confluence with the Lielupe is largely due to the end of the 19th century landscaped 1.5 km long " Teufelsgraben " ( lett: velna GRAVI ).

The river is mainly fed by melt water. Characteristic are low water levels in summer and flooding in the spring. For this reason, extensive work has been carried out on the river bed.

Of the approximately 400 tributaries ( streams, ditches, etc.), the Misa is nearing the mouth of the largest.
