IFSC Climbing World Cup

The Climbing World Cup is the highest international series in competition climbing. The officially since 1989 competitions will be held in the three disciplines of difficulty ( Lead), Bouldering and Speed ​​discharged. Until 1997, the World Cup was hosted by the UIAA itself, from 1997 to 2006 accepted to the subsidiary organization International Council for Competition Climbing. Disciplines

  • Lead: The Lead World Cup (also difficulty or Vorstiegsweltcup ) started in 1991 and is therefore the oldest of the three World Cup series.
  • Bouldering: Boulder World Cup will be held in 1998. In the first year it was held under the name Top Skirt Challenge. The Boulder World Cup consists of five to seven individual events.
  • Speed: The speed the World Cup has been held since 1998.
