Igala is a yoruboide language of the Volta - Niger language group, which is spoken by the ethnic group of Igala in Nigeria.

In 1989, an estimated 800,000 residents spoke of the country Igala, mainly in the states of Kogi, Delta and Edo. Dialects of the language are Ebu, Idah, Ankpa, Dekina, Ogugu, Ibaji and Ife.
