Iglesia ni Cristo

The Iglesia ni Cristo, also Iglesya ni Kristo, ( IPA: [i ː ː ni ː kri ː glɛ.ʃɑ stəʊ ] (INC ), Tagalog for " Church of Christ " ) is a Christian church with about 2.7 million predominantly Filipino members. The religious community in 1914 by Felix Y. Manalo (1886 - 1963) justified, so began the Church 's view, the "last days" before the return of Christ. The " Iglesia ni Cristo " sees itself as a restoration of primitive Christianity.

Membership is by baptism, which must be preceded by a Bible study. The Trinity doctrine is rejected by the religious community because of their understanding of the Bible that the Father is therefore the only true God, and Christ had been created by him. The Church teaches the Ganztodtheorie and the belief in a resurrection at the end of the millennial kingdom of Christ.
