Ignaz von Szyszyłowicz

Ignaz von Szyszylowicz ( born July 30, 1857 in Granica, † February 17, 1910 ) was a Polish botanist. His botanical author abbreviation is " Szyszył. "; earlier was also the abbreviation " Szysz. " in use.

Szyszylowicz was an assistant at the botanical department of the Imperial Natural History Court Museum in Vienna, before he (presumably 1892) was appointed as a full professor of botany and director of the botanical garden at the Agricultural Academy in Dublany in Lviv.

He wrote The natural plant families (Leipzig, since 1887 ) Part III of the issued by the two botanists Adolf Engler and Prantl Carl factory. 6 " Caryocaraceae, Marcgraviaceae, Theaceae, Strasburgeriaceae " (1893 ).
