Ignazio Giunti
Ignazio Giunti ( born August 30, 1941 in Rome, † January 10, 1971 in Buenos Aires ) was an Italian racing driver.
Giunti debuted as his team-mate Clay Regazzoni 1970 for Ferrari in Formula 1 A fourth place finish at the Belgian Grand Prix in 1970 was his only result in the points.
Giunti also took in on touring and sports car racing. In services of Ferrari he crashed at Brand World Championship race " 1000 km from Buenos Aires " for sports cars in 1971 fatal. Jean -Pierre Beltoise drove the tank of his Matra dry and wanted to push his car across to refuel across the track to the pits. Kurt Ahrens was able to dodge the following close behind Giunti hit the Matra. The car went up in flames, Giuntis skin was burned up to 70 %. He died in the hospital.
