Igor Cigolla

Igor Cigolla ( born August 17, 1963 in Cavalese ) is an Italian former Alpine skier. Mid-1980s, he was briefly behind Michael Mair and Danilo Sbardellotto one of the strongest skier in his country.

Cigolla brought in January 1986 with a twelfth place at the legendary Hahnenkamm race in Kitzbühel his first points in the World Cup. Throughout his career, he was also placed in the top ten five times in World Cup race. The best result it reached in January 1988 in the Swiss town of Leukerbad, with rank 3 Four weeks later, he could not confirm this performance at the Olympic Winter Games in Calgary. In the descent, he finished only 31st place, in the combination of departure he was 21 and then did not start the combination slalom.

Today Cigolla works as a coordinator in winter sports for the sports group of the Italian Polizia di Stato.
