Igor Gabilondo

Igor Gabilondo del Campo (born 10 February 1979 in San Sebastián ) is a Spanish footballer who plays for AEK Larnaca in Cyprus.

Playing career

Igor Gabilondo is one of the few Basque players who has taken care of outside of the Basque Country sensation. The strong central midfielder Gabilondo, whose home club Real Sociedad is, has steered by his skill level, interest English associations is that likened him to Xabi Alonso from Liverpool FC. Despite lucrative offers he ultimately decided for a change to the legendary Basque club Athletic Bilbao. After six years in Bilbao Gabilondo moved in summer 2012 to Cyprus for AEK Larnaca.
