Igor Netto

Igor Alexandrovich net (Russian Игорь Александрович Нетто; born January 9, 1930 in Moscow, † March 30, 1999 ) was a Soviet football player.

The elegant inside forward or Left wing half played at Spartak Moscow, played for this club 367 league matches and scored 37 goals in it. With Spartak he was five times national champion (1952, 1953, 1956, 1958, 1962) and Cup Winners' Cup three times (1958, 1963, 1965). In 1966 he ended his active career.

In the national team of the USSR net was called 54 times, scored four goals and was 1954-1963 also their captain. At the Olympic Games in 1956, he led his team to winning the gold medal; Moreover, he was also World Cup participants, 1958 ( where he could deny, however, only one game due to injury ) and 1962 ( reaching the quarter- finals ). The USSR also he won the title at the first European Football Championship 1960.

1957 Igor Netto was awarded the Order of Lenin. After end of his career he became a coach, but not in football, but in his " second great love," said Hockey.
