Igor Simutenkov

Igor Vitalyevich Simutenkow (Russian Игорь Витальевич Симутенков; born April 3, 1973 in Moscow ) is a retired Russian football player and current football coach.

Simutenkow belonged from the 1990 season, the first team of Dynamo Moscow. In the 1994 season he was with this team of Russian runner-up with 21 -goal top scorer of the Supreme League. In 1994 he was also voted Footballer of the Year in Russia. Simutenkow then moved to Italy for AC Reggiana in the series A. After the descent of Reggiana Simutenkow changed before the 1998/99 season with FC Bologna. Then he played from 2000 to 2002 when CD Tenerife and from 2002 to 2004 in the United States at the Kansas City Wizards. After a brief stop at Rubin Kazan he ended his active career in 2006 in Russia with Dynamo Voronezh.

Simutenkow completed a total of 20 caps for the Russian national team, he participated in the European Football Championship in 1996 and some came during this tournament in the group matches against Germany and the Czech Republic to use.

As a coach, he was in charge during the 2007 season the team Torpedo - ZIL Moscow from 2007 to 2009, he oversaw a junior team of the Russian Football Union. Since 1 January 2010 Simutenkow is assistant coach of Zenit St Petersburg.
