Igor Vori (born 20 September 1980 in Zagreb, Yugoslavia ) is a Croatian handball player. He is 2.03 m tall and weighs 110 kg.

Vori, who plays for French club Paris Saint- Germain HB and for the Croatian national team ( number 9 ) runs, is used almost exclusively as a circular rotor.

Career

Igor Vori played since his youth, for the RK Zagreb and played there in 1997 his first league games. Here he won in 1997/98, 1998/99 and 1999/ 2000, the Croatian Cup and 1997/98 and 1998/99 the Croatian Cup. In 2001 he moved to Italy to Al.Pi. Pallamano Prato and 2002 on the Italian series champion Pallamano Conversano. With this club he won, although the 2002/03 Italian Championship and the Italian Cup, but he felt uncomfortable in Italy and returned to the RK Zagreb.

Again he won the 2003 /04 and 2004/ 05 in Croatia league and cup; 2004/ 05 he moved with his club an even into the final of the European Cup Winners' Cup, where however Ademar León subject. So he got on the wishlist of FC Barcelona; In 2005 he hired for the Catalans. Here he won the 2005 /06 La Liga and 2006/ 07 Spanish Super Cup and the Copa ASOBAL. In the summer of 2007, other clubs interested in him: When THW Kiel he was at times as the successor to Pelle Linders in conversation, but eventually took him his old club, the now financially stronger RK Zagreb, under contract. After two seasons in Zagreb, he moved to HSV Hamburg. With the HSV Vori won in 2009 and 2010 the DHB Supercup, 2010 the DHB Cup, 2011 Cup and 2013 Champions League. After the 2012/13 season he moved to Paris Saint- Germain HB.

Igor Vori has been disputed 209 caps for the Croatian national team. In the 2003 World Cup in Portugal, he was world champion and World Cup in Tunisia in 2005 Vice World Champion. He also claimed at the Olympic Games in Athens 2004 gold. In summer 2012 Vori again took part in the Olympic Games in London, where he won the bronze medal.

At the World Cup in Germany in 2007 he occupied with who had traveled as title favorite Croats but only a disappointing 5th place. At the 2008 European Championships in Norway, he was elected to his country European vice-champion and the best defender of the tournament. A year later, Croatia was at the World Cup on home soil again runner-up and Vori was chosen not only All-Star team, but also the most valuable player of the tournament. In November 2009, Igor Vori was elected to the Croatian handball player of the year. In early 2010 Vori was elected Vice - European Champion and as the best county player in the All -Star team.
