Igor Žofčák

Igor Žofčák ( born April 10, 1983 in Michalovce, Czechoslovakia) is a Slovak football player.

Club career

Igor Žofčák began playing football at Zemplín Michalovce. At age 18, he spent 585,000 crowns for first division club MFK Ružomberok and signed a five-year contract. There, the midfielder played by little to the root formation. In 2006 he was with the team Slovakian champion. In July 2007, the international joined the top Czech club Sparta Prague. In Prague, a contract signed by mid 2010. In January 2008 he was loaned to end of the season FK Jablonec 97. In early 2009 he returned to Sparta Prague. In September 2010 Žofčák moved to ŠK Slovan Bratislava, with the team he was second time Slovakian champion and won the Slovakian Cup competition.

National

After working in the U19 and U21 selection of Slovakia Igor Žofčák debuted on July 11, 2004 in the Kirin Cup for the Slovak national team. Žofčák played three times in the Slovak national team.
