IHF Super Globe

The Super Globe is the world championship for men's club teams in handball. The competition is also known as Club World Cup.

It is organized by the International Handball Federation since 1997 every five years. In 2007 it was decided to discharge the Cup every three years, only to come to the decision to let 2010 be held annually. The tournament is held annually in Doha in 2013. Eligible are currently the reigning Cup winner of the IHF - continental federations and the team of the hosting clubs. However, at the 2007 competition took no OCHF representative ( Oceania ) part.

From the European clubs this competition, however, was not considered large. Often B or youth teams were sent to the Super Globe. This lowered the athletic significance of the competition. After increased the prize money, the competition was interesting for top teams. So was the 2011 winner a prize of € 400,000. Furthermore, the teams from the other continents reinforce with star players from European leagues. So Håvard played Tvedten and Guillaume Joli for Al - Sad. Also, players from the Croatian club RK Zagreb will go to the start to the tournament for clubs.
