Ihor Rybak

Igor Mikhailovich Rybak (Russian Игорь Михайлович Рыбак, scientific transliteration Igor Rybak Michajlovič; * March 31, 1934, † 28 September 2005) was a Soviet weightlifter.

Igor Rybak was Ukrainian and found a young age to weight lifting. His club was " Avangard " Kharkov. Igor was a very good technician and he managed to convince the mid-1950s, the former head coach of the Soviet Weightlifting Federation Yakov Kuzenko and Nikolai shatov with his performances. In 1956 he was employed at the Olympic Games in Melbourne in lightweight. He justified the confidence reposed in him, and was at the age of 22 years, Olympic champion. After that, he had trouble getting the weight for the lightweight class (then 67.5 kg ) and still competed in the middleweight class (up to 75 kg body weight). In this weight class but he could not prevail at the national championships themselves.
