IIHF European Cup 1976

The Hockey European Cup in the 1975/76 season was the eleventh edition of the competition of the same name by the International Ice Hockey Federation IIHF. The competition began in November 1975; the final was played in December 1977. A total of 16 teams took part. The CSKA Moscow won after a year's break for the seventh time total for the title.

Mode and participants

The country masters of the 1974 /75 European members of the IIHF were qualified for the competition. The competition was held in the knockout system in return game. The CSKA Moscow and TJ Sokol Kladno were there set for the semifinals.
