IIHF European Cup 1992
The Hockey European Cup in the 1991 season was the 27th edition of the competition of the same name by the International Ice Hockey Federation IIHF. The competition began in October 1991; the final was played in December 1991. A total of 18 teams took part. Djurgårdens IF Stockholm won for the second time in a row the title.

Mode and participants
The country masters of the Year 1990/91 of the European members of the IIHF were qualified for the competition. The competition was played with a preliminary round in three groups of three in simple mode. Then the best of these six preliminary round teams and six pre-qualified teams played in three groups of four of the six participants in the Final Tournament. In this the best teams of two triplets played cross from the courts.

Tournament
Qualification
Two teams played a qualifier from the first round.
Preliminary round
The preliminary round of the European Cup was played in three groups from 11 to 13 October 1991. The two group winners reached the final round.
Group A
The matches of Group A were held in Herning (Denmark).
Group B
The matches of Group B were held in Bucharest ( Romania).
Group C
The Group C matches were played in Milan, Italy. Rouen is a French runner-up, but participates in the European Champions Cup in place of the Master Grenoble, which was in liquidation.
Semifinal
The semi-finals were held until November 10, 1991 from 8. The first two of each group were qualified for the final tournament.
Group D
The Group D games were held in Bern, Switzerland.
Group E
The games in Group E were held in Dusseldorf.
Group F
The games in Group F were held in Piešťany in Czechoslovakia ( CSFR ).
Final tournament
The final tournament was held in Dusseldorf at the ice rink at the Brehmstraße from 27 to 30 December 1991.

Final
The Swedish champions Djurgårdens IF Stockholm sat down in the final with 7:2 against the German representative in Düsseldorf by EC.
