IK Grand Bodø

Idrettsklubben Grand Bodø (short: IK Grand Bodø ) is a Norwegian sports club from Bodø. The club was founded on 12 April 1917. Figurehead of the club is the women's football department.

History

The club was founded as Grand IK. 1986 won the women's team, the North Norwegian Championship, finishing in the final third of four courses. Thus, the team qualified for the first single-track league in 1987 the game started operations. After the first season, however, came the descent. 1990 returned to the club, which now reflects the new name, for three years back. The sixth place from the 1991 season is still the best placement. Heidi Eivik was at this time the first and hitherto only national player of the club. 1995 and 2000, the club was again one year each guest appearances in the House of Lords. While it was a chance the first time missing the 2000 season with only one point to avoid relegation. 2006 managed the team the renewed rise in the Topp series, but had to go back after a year.

The men played in the eighties in the first division. Since the 1990s, however it went downhill so that the team is only fünftklassig today.
