Ikaruga (Nara)
Ikaruga (Japanese斑鸠 町, -chō ) is a town in the district Ikoma in the Japanese prefecture of Nara.
Attractions
In Ikaruga are the Buddhist temple Hōryū -ji and Hokki -ji, which are a UNESCO World Heritage Site Buddhist sanctuaries of Hōryū -ji. For Hōryū -ji include the oldest wooden buildings in the world and Hokki -ji, the oldest three -storied pagoda (三重 塔, Sanju no kō ) of Japan.
Other temple in Ikaruga are the two National Cultural Heritage Horin -ji (法轮 寺) and Chugu -ji, and the Kichiden -ji (吉田 寺) and the Mimuroyama (三室 山).
Other religious buildings are the Shinto shrines Ikaruga Shrine (斑鸠 神社, Ikaruga- jinja ) and Tatsuta Shrine (龙田 神社, Tatsuta -jinja ).
Furthermore, Ikaruga are Kofun ( burial mounds ), as the Fujinoki - Kofun (藤ノ木 古墳, the Okanohara - Kofun (丘 の 原 古墳), the Kofun - Terayama (寺 山 古坟), and many more
