Ikorodu

Ikorodu is a town in the Nigerian state of Lagos. One estimate from 2006 indicate that it has 321 809 inhabitants. With its surrounding area, it forms one of the 20 Local Government Areas ( LGA) of the state.

Ikorodu is on the northern end of the lagoon from Lagos, 23 km north-east of Lagos. The LGA is adjacent to Kosofe, Epe and the northern state Ogun and has an area of ​​393.94 km ². The Nigerian highlife musician Bobby Benson (1922-1983) is from Ikorodu.
