Ikoyi is an island in the lagoon of Lagos in the field of the Nigerian city of Lagos.

Ikoyi is separated by a channel artificially Lagos Iceland in the west, but is part of the Local Government Area of Lagos Iceland. Originally Ikoyi was used as a cemetery, in the colonial era inhabited mainly Europeans declared as Government Reserved Area island, standing on the still large colonial houses. After independence, Ikoyi was an upscale district and was the residence of several Nigerian president. Today, Ikoyi location of many administrative buildings, in addition to hotels, schools, the Ikoyi Park and a famous golf course. In Ikoyi there are the embassies of Angola, Argentina, Belgium, Canada, Czech Republic and South Africa.

Ikoyi is considered neighborhood with one of the highest land prices in Africa. Since virtually no unused land is available, houses are often torn down after their purchase and replaced by a new type desired.
