IKSU

IKSU, Idrottsklubben student Erna Umeå ( Umeå Student Sports Club ), is a sports club in Umeå, Sweden. This was founded on 5 May 1959, and is one of the largest in the country with more than 14,000 members.

The club built his first gym in 1983 and expanded since then. Meanwhile, take the plants, which are called IKSU Sports Center, more than 15,000 square feet to complete. This provides IKSU is one of the largest sports facilities in Northern Europe and a further expansion is in progress.

IKSU consists of a number of sections, including the most famous: IKSU Innebandy four times won the Swedish championship three times and the European Cup for club teams whose wife team.

The association works together with Umeå University and the Institute of Sports Medicine has its rooms in the facility.
