Ilan Mitchell-Smith

Ilan Mitchell -Smith ( born June 29, 1969 in New York City ) is an American actor, ballet dancer and professor.

Life

Ilan Mitchell -Smith took ten years ballet lessons. During an appearance at his ballet school, he was discovered by a director and screenwriter, who asked him to audition for the film by Daniel Sidney Lumet and Ilan was given the role of the young Daniel. In the same year the film was broadcast on U.S. television.

In addition to several minor television appearances he received in 1985 a roll of film in the John Hughes comedy fantasy LISA - Weird Science (Weird Science), his most successful film. In the same year, he starred in an episode of The Equalizer ( U.S. series ). The film flopped and was aired only three years later.

In The Chocolate War, a film by Keith Gordon, Ilan played the role of Jerry Renault, a student at a Catholic high school, which is rejected by his classmates. 1989 Ilan played in the television series Superboy the role of Andy McAllister. A return to the TV failed, since follow-up projects have flopped.

University

Today he lectures at Fordham University USA. He is a professor of history. Since 1995, he is married to Susannah Demaree. They have two children, Eloise and Asher.
