Ildar Fatchullin

Ildar Rajiljewitsch Fatkullin (Russian Ильдар Райильевич Фаткуллин; born October 16, 1982 in Ufa ) is a former Russian ski jumper.

Career

His first international jumping denied Fatkullin on 28 November 1999 at the World Cup in Kuopio, Finland. The jumps on the large hill, he finished on the 42nd place. On 14 February 2000, he started at the Ski Flying World Championships in Vikersund and flew it to the 40th place. On 2 December 2000 Fatkullin could win first World Cup points with 30th place while jumping in Kuopio. In the Nordic World Ski Championships 2001 in Lahti he reached on the large hill and 46th in the normal hill the 11th Place.

On 30 December 2001, he reached with 8th place in Oberstdorf, the best result of his career in a single jump. At the 2002 Winter Olympics in Salt Lake City, he jumped on the large hill on the 35th place. From the season 2002/ 03 he jumped between the World Cup and some jumping in the Continental Cup. In the Nordic World Ski Championships 2003 in Oberstdorf, he could reach the 32nd place on the normal hill and 31 on the large hill. In team competition, together with Dmitri Ipatow, Denis Kornilov and Dmitri Vasilyev him a 5th and on the large hill 6th place achieved on the normal hill.

In the Ski Flying World Cup 2006 in Kulm, he was in single and 32 with the team 's Seventh. For the Olympic Winter Games 2006, he was again in the Russian squad. However, he only reached 44th place on the normal hill and a 41st place on the large hill in the individual competition. With the team he was again only seventh.

After he was unable to repeat his previous performance after the game, he jumped on 17 December 2006, his last World Cup competition in Engelberg. On 1 January 2007, he completed a jump in the FIS Cup in Seefeld in Tirol. Since then, he is no longer bound internationally, but jumped a few more years at the national level.
