Ilhéus Secos
The archipelago Ilheus do Rombo (also Ilheus Secos ) is part of the southern group ( Ilhas de Sotavento ) of the Cape Verde Islands. The small group of islands located a few kilometers west front of Fogo and only 6 km northeast before Brava, the smallest inhabited island of Cape Verde.
To Ilheus do Rombo are the two slightly larger islets Ilhéu Grande (3 km ²) and Ilhéu de Cima (1.5 km ²) as well as three much smaller islands ( Ilhéu do Rei, Ilhéu Sapado, Ilhéu Luís Carneiro ) with a total area of about 0, 25 km ². There are also still many individually standing rock pillars and between the islands, especially the more difficult the application by ship. The larger of them have proper names.
All the islands of Ilheus do Rombo are uninhabited and vegetationsarm. In particular, the two largest of Ilheus have beautiful sandy beaches, which are sometimes used by beach tourists.
