Ilhéus Secos

The archipelago Ilheus do Rombo (also Ilheus Secos ) is part of the southern group ( Ilhas de Sotavento ) of the Cape Verde Islands. The small group of islands located a few kilometers west front of Fogo and only 6 km northeast before Brava, the smallest inhabited island of Cape Verde.

To Ilheus do Rombo are the two slightly larger islets Ilhéu Grande (3 km ²) and Ilhéu de Cima (1.5 km ²) as well as three much smaller islands ( Ilhéu do Rei, Ilhéu Sapado, Ilhéu Luís Carneiro ) with a total area of ​​about 0, 25 km ². There are also still many individually standing rock pillars and between the islands, especially the more difficult the application by ship. The larger of them have proper names.
