Iligan Bay

The bay of Iligan is to be sought in the northwestern part of the island of Mindanao in the Philippines. It is a part of Mindanaosee and cuts deep into the island of Mindanao. The deepest incision in the southwest of the bay is the Bay of Panguil. The Philippine provinces of Misamis Occidental, Misamis Oriental, Zamboanga del Sur and Lanao del Norte border with its coastline on the bay.

The largest port on the coast of the Bay of Iligan is from Iligan City. Other cities are Ozamis City and Oroquieta City. The Bay of Panguil forms with the Bay of Pagadian, part of the bay of Illana on the opposite side, a natural demarcation, an isthmus separating the Zamboanga Peninsula from the main island of Mindanao. There numerous rivers flow into the bay; the most water is the Agus.
