Illeana Douglas
Illeana Douglas ( born July 25, 1965 in Quincy, Massachusetts ) is an American actress.
Biography
Illeana Douglas, great-granddaughter of actor Melvyn Douglas, studied acting at New York's Neighborhood Playhouse. She made her debut in a supporting role in the comedy Hello again - Back from the afterlife in 1987.
Douglas was Die For, in which she starred opposite Nicole Kidman, nominated in 1996 for her role in the comedy To for a Saturn Award and for the Chlotrudis Award. For her role in the television series Action, she won the 2000 Golden Satellite Award. In the same year she received for the role in the film drama Message in a Bottle, in which she starred opposite Kevin Costner, was nominated for a Blockbuster Entertainment Award. For her performance in 2001 in the television series Six Feet Under - Died she was always nominated in 2002 for an Emmy Award.
Douglas was married from 1998 to 2001 with the film producer Jonathan Axelrod.
