Illiasu Shilla

Illiasu Shilla Alhassan ( born October 26, 1982 in Tema ) is a Ghanaian football player.

Club career

The 1.88 m wide central defender started at Real Republicans in Ghana with the football games. His youth club he remained faithful to 2003, before moving to the King Faisal Babes to Kumasi. With the club he played for two consecutive years in the CAF Champions League. During the season 2005/ 06 he moved to the Ghanaian giants Asante Kotoko.

2005 Shilla was invited by the Ghanaian ex-national coach Ralf Zumdick, now an assistant coach at Hamburger SV, on trial at HSV. There, however, he did not know crucial to convince. Has also been invited for trials of World Cup participants to Arsenal.

However Shilla moving to either of the two clubs, but signed in 2006 at the Russian Premjer League club Saturn Ramenskoje. In the spring of 2009, he ended his career due to a disability sport. On January 4, 2011, he announced his comeback at Real Tamale United. After he was back to his old power, he got in the summer of 2011, an offer of the Armenian first division club FC Dilijan pulse and signed for the club.

National team career

In the Ghanaian national football team Shilla Illiasu has played ten times, where he arrived four games at the 2006 World Cup in Germany for use. After the group match against Italy he pushed Samuel Kuffour from the starting eleven and had a good performance.
