Illintsi

Illinzi (Ukrainian Іллінці; Russian Ильинцы / Iljintsy, Polish Ilince ) is a city in Ukraine with about 11,193 inhabitants. It is the administrative center of Rajons Illinzi and is located in the northeastern part of the Vinnytsia Oblast on the river Sob, about 55 kilometers from the Oblasthauptstadt Vinnytsia.

At the city council community include not only the city and the villages Boryssiwka ( Борисівка ) and Nemenka ( Неменка ).

History

The first written mention of the town dates from 1545, 1925, he was elevated to an urban-type settlement, on 15 December 1986, the Illinzi the city status was granted ( under Rajonsverwaltung ).
