Illya Chichkan

Ilya Chichkan ( * 1967 in Kiev) is a contemporary Ukrainian artist who works under the Ukrainian - New Wave movement in the fields of painting, photography, installations and video projects.

Work

The elements of radicalism, the shock effect and a conceptualism, which are mainly found in that combination in the work of the Visual Arts in the areas of Salon Culture and glamor, are found united in the work of Iya Chichkan again. The Ukrainian New Wave is a group of Ukrainian artists who are based at the beginning of the 90s and whose work is founded on the time during perestroika, when the USSR still existed.
