ILPE at Nierentrop

The ILPE is a 8.3 km long, orographic right tributary of the Wenne in North Rhine -Westphalia, Germany. The creek flows to the west of Hochsauerlandkreises by Schmallenberg and Eslohe.

Geography

The ILPE rises about 1.6 km south-east of Altenilpe at an altitude of 511 m above sea level. NN. It flows primarily in a northwesterly direction. The places Altenilpe, Nierentrop and Twismecke are traversed. Between Frielinghausen and Bremke the ILPE opens at 301 m above sea level. NN on the right side in the Wenne.

On its 8.3 km long road which ILPE overcomes a difference in altitude of 210 m, corresponding to an average bed slope of 25.3 ‰. It drains a 12.571 km ² large catchment area over Wenne, Ruhr and Rhine to the North Sea.
