Ilse Haider

Ilse Haider (* 1965 in Salzburg) is an Austrian art photographer.

Life

Ilse Haider completed her studies in 1988 at the Academy of Fine Arts in Vienna under Arnulf Rainer and studied until 1990 at the Royal College of Art in Eduardo Paolozzi Between 1995 and 2001 she taught at the University of Art and Industrial Design in Linz. In 2003 she received the great Art Prize of the City of Vienna.

Your photographs are distinguished by their three-dimensional effect they achieved through the use of innovative methods in addition to traditional photography. Content, they place great emphasis on the presentation of the issues of women and men: she likes to play with gender roles and identity behavior. Your collage-like works ( often used imagery from old magazines, they exposed on three-dimensional image carrier ) act by the interplay between different image planes.

In 2006, she portrayed the castle ensemble members Andrea Clausen and Michael Heltau for the new Portrait Gallery in the Foyer of the Burgtheater. Installed in 2012, the artist in sculpture of a Männerakts entitled " Mr.Big " at the exhibition "naked men " outside the Leopold Museum in the Museumsquartier wiener.
