Ilse Junkermann

Ilse Junker man born champion ( born May 31, 1957 in Dörzbach at the Jagst ) is a German Protestant theologian. On March 21, 2009, she was elected to the Regional Bishop of the Evangelical Church in Central Germany and introduced 29 August 2009 in Magdeburg Cathedral in the office.

Junker man studied Protestant theology in Tübingen and Göttingen. She was a pastor in Horb am Neckar, Stuttgart. In 1994 she was director of studies of pastoral theology and homiletics at the parish seminar in Stuttgart- Birkach. 1997 Ilse Junker man was elected Oberkirchenrätin the Württemberg church. There she headed the Department of Theology and training pastors.

Outside of her profession Junker man engaged in asylum and migrant labor. She is also a board member of the International Foundation Martin Luther.

She is divorced and has a son from his first marriage; since December 11, 2009 she is married in second marriage with Michael Wolf.
