Ilya Zakharov

Ilya Leonidovich Sakharov (Russian Илья Леонидович Захаров, born May 2, 1991, Leningrad ) is a Russian diver. He starts both the springboard from 3 m- board and at the 10 m- high diving, both in individual and synchro competitions.

Sakharov has so far won seven medals at European Swimming Championships. Particularly successful was the 2011 European Championships in Turin, where he won four medals, gold on the side of Yevgeni Kuznetsov in the 3-meter synchronized diving and together with Julija Koltunowa in the team competition and silver in the 3m springboard and bronze with Viktor Minibaew in 10 m synchronous jumping.

2009 Sakharov participated for the first time in a World Championship in Rome. He finished there twice a tenth. 2011 in Shanghai, he reached Minibaew fourth in the 10 -meter synchronized diving and won with Kuznetsov silver in the 3 -meter synchronized diving.
