Im Dong-hyun

In Dong- hyun ( Kor. 임 동현; born May 12, 1986 in Chungju ) is a South Korean archer.

In Dong- hyun starts for Chongbuk Athletic High School and heard since the early 2000s to the world top of his sport. At the World Championships of the year in New York City, he won silver in the individual competition and gold with the team. In 2004 we launched the archer at the 2004 Summer Olympics in Athens, where she won gold with the team and was sixth in the individual competition. With a total of 687 scored rings he put in one of the preliminary fights on a world record. Even better, it ran at the Asian Games 2006 in Doha, when he won gold in singles and with the team. Just successfully ran the World Championships for the South Koreans in 2007 in Leipzig. Both in the individual competition as well as with the team he won gold. He reached another big success at the 2008 Summer Olympics in Beijing with the new winning the gold medal with the team. At the Olympic Summer Games 2012 in London he presented in the ranking round again to a new world record with 699 rings. However, in the subsequent tournament, he failed in the second round at the Dutchman Rick van der Ven. With the team he could previously achieve the Bronzemedalie. Among the successes at major events several victories and top placings come at World Cup events.

His achievements are particularly noteworthy because he has in his left eye and only 10 right 20 percent vision. In some reports, however, doubted that the information about the ' near- blindness ' Im Dong- hyun are correct.
