Im Tal der wilden Rosen
In the Valley of the Wild Roses is a film series of the ZDF, which will be broadcast as Rosamunde Pilcher or The Love Boat as part of the Great ZDF Sunday film.
The focus is on women who have ventured in the pioneering days of the 19th century into new territory and built a new life with hard work and had to struggle to survive. The film was shot at Canadian original locations in the Rocky Mountains.
The text for the introduction of each story is always spoken of Gerlinde Locker, as follows at the end of the film, a final comment, the informed roughly how the story has been going on. The screenplays wrote Barbara Engelke.
So far, 13 stories of the series have been filmed.

All 13 episodes have been released on DVD. The first two DVDs containing the first three movies. In the Valley of the Wild Roses 2 film contains four to seven and Valley of the Wild Roses 3 film eight to eleven. In the Valley of the Wild Roses 4 film contains 12 and 13 The series was published by Universum Film. The first three films published on 4 December 2006 on DVD, the last two on June 5, 2009.
