Imagic

Imagic was a manufacturer for computer games platforms Atari 2600, Philips G7000 and others in the 1980s.

History

The company was founded in 1981, among others, by former Atari programmer Rob Fulop, the author of Games Night Driver and Missile Command. One of the successful games by Imagic belonged Atlantis, Cosmic Ark and Demon Attack. In recent years, in which the Atari 2600 platform was expelled, Imagic was one of the games companies that sold next to Atari and Activision most games of this gaming console on the market.

Although Imagic grew rapidly in the first years of existence, it was damaged by the collapse of the video game industry in 1983 economically irreversible. The company released a total of 24 games before it was disbanded in 1986. The rights to the games by Imagic are at Activision since the late 1980s. The games have since been re-released on various new platforms.
