Immenstedt

Immenstedt (Danish: Immingsted ) is a municipality in the district of North Friesland Schleswig -Holstein.

Geography and transport

Immenstedt is located about 10 km northeast of Husum on a tributary of the Arlau and the federal highway 200 from Husum to Flensburg. The municipality is a vast Buchenwald, which is state forest part.

History

The place was first mentioned in the 13th century as Imming.

Noble estate Immenstedt

1590 have the Dukes of Gottorp, in whose possession the goods had since 1438, built a hunting lodge. The hunting lodge but was demolished in 1712 due to disrepair.

Municipal council

In the local elections on May 26, 2013 won with a voter turnout of 55.3 percent of the voters Community AWI all nine seats.

Mayor

For the term 2013-2018 John Feddersen ( AWI) was elected mayor. He thus replaced from Johann -Adolf Albertsen, who did not stand again for the local council.
